Club Members and Fans

SCRS is publishing the following schedule for 2021. Due to Covid there are not a lot of opportunities at tracks that are good tracks for the stock cars. We have come up with two events that should prove to be great weekends for the racers and their families.

The first one is the May 15th and 16th event at Laguna Seca where SCRS is honored to have been chosen by HMSA to be their invited run group for the event. The positive response from all of you is looking like we may have 15 to 17 cars attending. Weather in May at Laguna Seca should be beautiful. SCRS will plan on having a wine, beer, and appetizers on Saturday night for you, your family and crew. Please plan on joining us. Entry forms available here.

The second event is the SVRA event November 19th thru the 21st. This will be the very last vintage race at Auto Club Speedway due to the track being torn down and rebuilt as a one-half mile oval. We encourage all of you to come and participate in this last race at one of the premier tracks we go to. We will have our very last annual taco party with Ana and her daughter.

Mid Summer Highlight

For anyone that may be interested – there is a race at Road America in July that is featuring stock cars as one of their run groups.

WeatherTech® International Challenge with Brian Redman
JULY 15-18, 2021

A mid-summer favorite, The WeatherTech® International Challenge with Brian Redman is one of the largest vintage racing events in the United States and features over 400 cars competing in several groups. 2021 will feature a special NASCAR and Grand National racer reunion. Don’t forget to mark your calendars as the Concours d’ Elegance on the front straight of the racecourse on Friday for race cars and Saturday night for sports cars is a can’t miss event for any enthusiast.

Dan is planning on going to this event and it would be great if several of us could go as a group just like we did for Indy and COTA. Check out the website for the Brian Redman Vintage Classic Race.
